Swedish Michelin-starred chef Björn Frantzén and his company Frantzén Group will make their first foray to Australia early next year when they launch two new fine dining restaurants at Crown Sydney and Crown Perth.
Crown revealed this week that the internationally renowned culinary star will open Én by Björn Frantzén at Crown Sydney, described as a sky-high fine dining experience with majestic views across Sydney Harbour. It will join the property’s existing culinary lineup that includes Nobu, Woodcut, a’Mare and Golden Century – further establishing the casino resort as a global destination for luxury hospitality and fine dining.

In Perth, Frantzén Group’s Brasserie Astoria will be located within Crown Towers in what Crown says is an exciting new space never before seen by the public and designed to elevate the dining experience.
According to information from Crown, Frantzén is the only chef in the world to achieve three Michelin stars for three restaurants simultaneously, namely Frantzén in Stockholm, Zén in Singapore and FZN in Dubai. The venues have earned global acclaim for their immersive gastronomy, meticulous technique and lasting impression.
Known for his innovative fusion of Nordic heritage, Asian influences and French technique, Frantzén’s restaurants are renowned for delivering unforgettable experiences.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Björn Frantzén to Crown Sydney,” said Crown Sydney CEO, Ken Janssen. “Én represents a groundbreaking new era in Australian dining and we are honored to host a chef of Frantzén’s caliber. Guests won’t need a passport to experience this truly world-class immersive experience that reflects his signature style.”
Crown Perth CEO, Brian Pereira, added: “Brasserie Astoria continues the strong investment in Crown Perth and expansion of our range of new offerings – from casual meals at the Urban Food District to elevated fine dining. We’re confident that sophisticated Perth and travelling diners will embrace one of the world’s best restaurants in one of the world’s leading hotels.”
Crown said the two restaurants will feature a “multi-sensory dining journey, combining seasonal Australian ingredients with Frantzén’s hallmark techniques and storytelling.”
