Australian slot machine supplier Ainsworth Game Technology (AGT) has provided new guidance around its financial results for the first six months of 2026 after being refunded the full US$2.7 million tariffs it previously paid under the US International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA).
In a Friday trading update, AGT said it had applied for the refund after the U.S. Supreme Court held on 20 February 2026 that IEEPA does not authorize the US Administration to impose tariffs.
The refund was subsequently granted and received by the company on 30 June 2026, representing substantially all of the tariffs previously paid under IEEPA.
Noting that this refund was not included in its previous trading update on 22 May, AGT said it now expects to report total 1H26 revenue of AU$116 million, with underlying profit before tax of AU$5 million and EBITDA of AU$17 million.
The company also expects to report positive cashflows from operations of approximately AU$8 million, resulting in net debt decreasing to approximately AU$8 million compared to AU$11.8 million at 31 December 2025.
The reduction in net debt was attributable to the IEEPA tariff refunds and stronger cash collection than anticipated, it added.
AGT had previously forecast EBITDA of AU$13 million and positive cashflows of AU$2 million.
AGT’s full financial results are expected to be released in late August.
