The team at Crown Melbourne has confirmed to Inside Asian Gaming that more than 100 seats to the 2026 Aussie Millions Main Event have already been confirmed, pushing the total prize pool above AU$1 million more than two months out from kick-off.

The early milestone represents a hugely promising sign for the Main Event given that Crown’s satellite schedule doesn’t fully ramp up until March and those who buy-in directly will likely do so in the days before or during the event itself. As such, the final prize pool is expected to be in the several millions of dollars.

Harold Tsakmaklis, Executive General Manager of Gaming at Crown Melbourne, said, “We’re excited to announce that we’ve surpassed 100 seats for the 2026 Aussie Millions Main Event. With momentum continuing to build and plenty more to come in the weeks ahead, it’s fantastic to see such strong engagement.”

This year represents the long-awaited return of the Aussie Millions, last held in early 2020. The series has long been considered one of the most prestigious globally while the Main Event’s list of winners includes renowned British sports gambler and owner of English Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion, Tony Bloom; New Zealand’s Lee Nelson; high stakes poker legend Gus Hansen; and American Bryn Kenney.

The series has also been a regular playground for the likes of Phil Ivey, Phil Hellmuth, Daniel Negreanu, Patrik Antonius, Tom Dwan, Erik Seidel and Australia’s own 2005 WSOP Main Event Winner Joe Hachem.
