Crown Melbourne will play host to the 2026 Australasian Croupier Championship this month – just the second time the prestigious industry event has been held at the Melbourne integrated resort.

Running from 18 to 21 October, the event will bring together 19 elite dealers from 10 casinos across Australasia, including two Crown Melbourne representatives, to compete for the title of the region’s best croupier.

The Australasian Croupier Championship aims to showcase the exceptional skill, precision and professionalism behind the gaming industry, with competitors tested on blackjack, baccarat and roulette in front of judges and peers.

The championships is to be held at Crown’s new Level 28 event space at Crown Metropol which the company says will be transformed into a high-energy competition floor assessing speed, accuracy, game knowledge and customer service.

Crown Melbourne last played host to the Australasian Croupier Championship in 2023, with Joanne Lee, representing The Star Gold Coast, named the region’s best overall dealer after outlasting a field of 27 entrants.
