Global Gaming Women (GGW) will celebrate its 10-year anniversary at this month’s Australasian Gaming Expo (AGE) in Sydney by way of a series of networking and educational events aimed at further advancing the impact of women on the industry.
Attendees can learn more about how GGW is advancing the participation and career progression of women in the gaming industry by visiting stand #481 on the tradeshow floor, with the organization inviting members, prospective members and their male allies to get involved throughout the show.
AGE runs from Tuesday 11 to Thursday 13 August at Sydney’s International Convention Centre (ICC).
GGW’s networking events will include the “SAY CHEERS TO 10 YEARS: Link & L.E.A.R.N Networking Event on Wednesday 12 August from 3pm to 4pm at the stand and a GGW Breakfast Event on Thursday 13 August at 9am at the GTA Lounge Area on the tradeshow floor.
There will also be a panel discussion at 10:15am on Thursday 13 August from the Education Area of the tradeshow floor where Aristocrat’s Clare Acin, Light & Wonder’s Siobhan Lane and Dan Maloney of AGE organizer, the Gaming Technologies Association (GTA), will explore their leadership journey and the defining moments that have shaped their careers.
“As Global Gaming Women marks its 10-year anniversary, we’re thrilled to celebrate this milestone with the Australasian gaming community, one of our most dynamic and rapidly growing regions worldwide,” said Pamela Buckley, Executive Vice President GGW.
“The enthusiasm and engagement we’ve seen across Australia and New Zealand reflects the importance of our mission to support, elevate and connect women at every stage of their careers. AGE provides a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our progress and look ahead to the next decade of impact.”
GGW has been expanding its influence in recent years, having held 48 events in 2025 alone attended by almost 1,500 members, according to its 2025 Annual Report.
IAG’s sister publication CDC Gaming will also host the Day Zero Party for the second year in a row ahead of this year’s Global Gaming Expo (G2E) in partnership with GGW. The event, to be held on the evening of Sunday 27 September at Allē Lounge on 66 at Resorts World Las Vegas, will include the “10 Women Rising in Gaming: Class of 2026” presentation, recognizing outstanding women across the industry.
