Technology and printing solutions provider TransAct Technologies has appointed Robert Campbell as its next Chief Financial Officer, effective from 30 June of this year.

The appointment comes as long-time CFO Steven DeMartino is retiring after almost 30 years of service to TransAct. DeMartino is also stepping away from his roles as President, Secretary and Treasurer of the company.
Robert Campbell takes on the roles of CFO, Secretary and Treasurer of the group, while the company’s CEO, John Dillon, will assume the title of President.

In a recent release, TransAct indicated that DeMartino “will remain in an advisory role through the end of the year to support a seamless transition.”
Campbell brings over 25 years of experience in financial leadership to the CFO role, having served as TransAct’s Company Controller since June of 2022 – including the group’s shift “toward a recurring revenue model.” The executive previously held senior finance roles in Lydall, Fischer and Axsys.
Speaking of Campbell’s appointment, CEO John Dillon noted, “as we continue to expand ARR and build a more predictable, higher-margin revenue stream, strong financial leadership will be critical to enable our strategy. Bob’s promotion comes at an important time, as we continue to scale our BOHA! cloud-based SaaS platform and strengthen our recurring revenue model.”

Regarding his upcoming retirement, Steven DeMartino noted, “It has been an honor to guide and serve TransAct during the entirety of its public company life since its IPO in 1996.” The executive added, “over the past 30 years, I have helped build a strong financial foundation and leave TransAct well positioned for continued success.”
