Hong Kong-listed Century Entertainment International Holdings Ltd says it has launched its new online gaming platform at seven gaming venues across the Philippines under the latest phase of its joint venture partnership with local firm World Platinum Technologies Inc (WPT).
The launch follows the April signing of a deployment agreement between Century Entertainment and WPT – the latter described as a PAGCOR-accredited service provider that is licensed to provide electronic gaming machines (EGMs), gaming content and related services to licensed gaming operators in the Philippines.
The two companies first launched their joint venture business – of which Century Entertainment holds a 51% stake and WPT 49% – in July 2025 with the purpose of developing and distributing WPT’s gaming system platforms and related content in the Asia-Pacific region.
In a Thursday filing, Century Entertainment said it had made considerable progress since April under a deployment model that sees WPT serve as the primary platform provider and maintain all contractual relationships with gaming venues, while the joint venture company provides the technology, game logic and Return To Player Ratio algorithms that power its applications.
At present, it said the platform operates at seven gaming venues located in Parañaque, Calamba, Laguna, Bulacan, and Nueva Ecija with 27 games deployed.
Between April and June, Century Entertainment added that its latest phase has generated around HK$45 million (US$5.7 million) in net winnings while WPT has provided a HK$100 million revenue guarantee over a 15-month period.
Century Entertainment is also looking to strengthen its position in the Philippines, revealing that a subsidiary called NobleMind Technology Ltd has been invited by a “Philippine counterparty” to hold a 5% to 10% interest in a new PAGCOR-licensed entity.
It said the counterparty intends to enter into a partnership arrangement based on the joint venture company’s technological capabilities and NobleMind’s track record of operating under a listed company as its holding company.
“Due diligence on the new license is in progress and the transaction is expected to be completed in July 2026,” it stated.
Century Entertainment’s move into online gaming comes after the company last year terminated an agreement to operate gaming tables at a casino in Cambodia’s Dara Sakor. That agreement had been closely tied to the company’s Chairman and CEO – long-time Macau junket identity Ng Man Sun – who stepped down from his positions in late May 2025 before returning in April 2026.
The company has, however, flagged the possibility of operating gaming tables at a casino in Vietnam instead, revealing late last year that it had signed a non-binding letter of intent in such regard.
Century Entertainment was formerly known as Amax International Holdings, which under Ng’s watch – and thanks to his connections to Dr Stanley Ho – was a significant player in Macau’s junket industry. Amax also held a near-25% stake in the Greek Mythology casino which it wrote-off as an asset in 2019, some four years after Macau’s DICJ ordered the casino’s closure.
