Hann Reserve, the expansive eco-luxury golf and lifestyle estate being developed by Hann Resorts in New Clark City, Philippines, will host the inaugural Junior PGA Championships Philippines from 7 to 9 December 2026 – representing its first major golfing event since opening earlier this year.
The Junior PGA Championships Philippines will give eligible junior golfers an opportunity to compete for places in the 2027 Junior PGA Championships at NCR Country Club in Ohio, United States.
The 450-hectare Hann Reserve integrates championship sports, high-end hospitality and sustainable practices, and features 54 holes of championship golf across three distinct courses designed by Nicklaus Design, K.J. Choi and Sir Nick Faldo. The Nicklaus Design course opened this year with the other courses to progressively open over the next two years.
In addition to its golf courses and training facilities at The PGA Village, the masterplan encompasses exclusive member amenities, upscale dining, retail options and eco-farming initiatives. Hann said that, through this holistic vision, Hann Reserve aims to establish a regenerative ecosystem that elevates Philippine tourism and positions the region as a major global hub for golf and sustainable luxury.
The first Junior PGA Championships Philippines will bring together local and international junior players for three days of practice and competition – aiming to establish a pivotal bridge between local grassroots talent and the global stage. The marquee event provides the nation’s premier young athletes with a direct pathway to elite competitive opportunities worldwide.
Hann Reserve is the Philippines’ exclusive facility partner of the Professional Golfers’ Association of America (PGA of America) – the world’s premier organization for golf instruction, course design and professional development. By bringing the prestige, technical rigor and global network of the PGA directly to Philippine soil, Hann said it wants to transform Hann Reserve from a luxury destination into a global center for elite athletic growth.
The Junior PGA Championships Philippines will see the overall Boy and Girl stroke play Champions secure direct exemptions to represent the country at the 2027 Junior PGA of America Championships in the USA. With this inaugural hosting, the Philippines joins China as one of only two nations recognized by the PGA of America to host an international qualifier for the world-renowned championship.
The championship is open to amateur junior golfers aged 12 to 18 with an official Handicap Index of 8.0 or lower. To maintain a tour-level standard, the field is strictly capped at 80 elite players competing over 36 holes.
Clément Rousseau, Director of Golf at Hann Reserve, said, “Beyond this historic first for the Philippines, we are excited to bring our partnership with the PGA of America to life as we prepare to open the PGA of America Performance Institute. This championship is an important milestone in that journey – offering an opportunity to introduce young golfers and their families to Hann Reserve, showcase our world-class layout and inspire the next generation of players across the region.”
Hann said pre-registration for the event is officially open through 28 October 2026, with places to be finalized by the Tournament Committee based on verified player handicap rankings.
