Leading Philippines digital entertainment firm DigiPlus Interactive Corp has announced two new partnerships aimed at diversifying its offering across its core gaming platforms. The partnerships include a deal with local boxing icon Manny Pacquiao to release a slate of co-branded games, and another with GMA Network that will see DigiPlus release a series of short-form vertical TV dramas for its customers.
In separate releases, the company explained this week that the Pacquiao partnership would see a total of nine titles rolled out across its BingoPlus, ArenaPlus and GameZone platforms, with seven of these already live. Banner titles include “Super Ace Pacquiao” and “Boxing King Pacquiao”.
DigiPlus described “Super Ace Pacquiao” as offering 1,024 ways to win and payouts that can reach up to 10,000x, while “Boxing King Pacquiao” is a steady, action-driven slot game built around 88 paylines and wins of up to 2,000x.
“As the entertainment scene continues to evolve, audiences are seeking more authentic and exciting experiences,” said DigiPlus Chairman Eusebio H Tanco.
“This landmark collaboration with revered Filipino sportsman Manny Pacquiao allows us to create something innovative, meaningful, familiar and truly local.”
Separately, DigiPlus and GMA Network are collaborating to produce high-quality narrative content specifically optimized for mobile devices, in the form of exclusive, short-form vertical dramas.
Featuring 40 micro-episodes that run just one to two minutes each, the mini-drama series – A Masked Billionaire Stole My Heart, Babae Sa Bintana and Toyang To Forget are exclusively produced by GMA Network.
BingoPlus President Jasper Vicencio said, “Our ongoing partnership with GMA Network is a true game-changer for digital entertainment in the Philippines and a significant milestone for DigiPlus and BingoPlus.
“By delivering high-quality, bite-sized narratives, we are not just expanding our platform – we are meeting our users exactly where they are: on their mobile devices, demanding premium, easily digestible content. This initiative solidifies our commitment to multiplying the fun and setting a new standard for mobile entertainment that is accessible to every Filipino with a smartphone.”
