Philippines eGames provider PhilWeb Corporation has described its recently announced partnership with Hann Casino Resort as a milestone in its efforts to strategically focus on gaming infrastructure operations within the country’s regulated gaming sector.
As reported by Inside Asian Gaming, PhilWeb will under the partnership operate and manage Hann Casino Resort’s new online gaming platform while providing operational and technical support.
In a follow-up release, the company explained that it is entering a new phase of development under fresh leadership with a view to strengthening its role as an integrated provider by delivering end-to-end gaming support services. These services, it added, extend beyond core technology to include operations enablement, platform security, marketing support and customer service systems.
The Hann partnership, PhilWeb said, demonstrates the company’s capability to provide unified gaming infrastructure supporting system reliability, operational coordination and controlled online-onsite connectivity in alignment with regulatory requirements.
“PhilWeb’s focus remains on contributing to a stable, transparent and responsible gaming environment in the Philippines,” it explained. “Through disciplined infrastructure development and service execution, the company aims to support PAGCOR’s objectives of orderly industry development, responsible gaming and regulatory clarity across the broader gaming ecosystem.”
The new approach by PhilWeb comes after the company’s majority owner Gregorio Araneta Inc – controlled by Gregorio “Greggy” Araneta III, the brother-in law of Philippines President Ferdinand Marcos Jr – sold its 57% stake in the company late 2025 to Nexora and Velora Holdings for Php1.8 billion (US$30.3 million). Nexora and Velora Holdings are linked to PhilWeb’s President & Director Brian K. Ng and Vice Chairman Crisanto Roy B. Alcid.
