The France Macau Chamber of Commerce (FMCC) has announced that its annual Charity Gala Dinner will be held on 28 May 2021 at MGM Macau, with the theme “A Night at the Museum”.
For the third year, proceeds from the 2021 Charity Gala Dinner will support Macao Fok Sin Association (MFS), and its project “Visit the Elderly”, which organizes personal visits and provides useful gifts to underprivileged elderly with low mobility and who lack emotional and financial support.
In recent years, the FMCC has raised funds to benefit numerous Macanese charity organizations, with the aim of supporting the local community in different ways. Thanks to the donations of guests and sponsors, the previous gala dinner raised MOP$70,000 to support MFS’ “Visit the Elderly” project.
In 2019, FMCC members joined hands with MFS for visits over four days to underprivileged elderly households in the social housing complex of Ilha Verde district and Coloane. The group of volunteers distributed gift packages to more than 200 elderly households, with each package containing an FMCC customized blanket, organic rice, cooking oil, soya sauce, noodles and oatmeal.
