Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) raised MOP100,000 for a Macau charity last night with an in-house talent show at its flagship Cotai resort
‘Galaxy Got Talent’ followed a similar format to the hit television reality programmes popular in China and the West. But at this show—for the third year running—the stars were Galaxy’s own staff.
Dorothy Gomez—a member of Galaxy Macau’s security team on Cotai—captured the top prize of MOP10,000 for her singing performance.
During the event Francis Lui, Vice Chairman of GEG, presented a donation cheque to a local charity aiding handicapped people.
Staff in the audience each paid as much as MOP2,000 for a ticket to the talent show.
“Our team members have shown tremendous support for this event and I am so proud of them,” said Michael Mecca, President & Chief Operating Officer of GEG.
