Light & Wonder has completed the first global installation of its new cashless solution, RAPIDPLAY, at Nevada’s Crystal Bay Casino.
According to information released this morning (Asia time), the technology is planned for expansion into other jurisdictions subject to applicable regulatory approvals.
Light & Wonder said RAPIDPLAY enables players to securely access funds directly at the slot machine using their personal mobile device. Through secure open banking technology, players can instantly transfer funds by simply scanning a QR code – without requiring an app download or loyalty card. As such, the company said RAPIDPLAY delivers a faster, more convenient player experience while helping operators modernize payments on the casino floor.
“The first installation of RAPIDPLAY marks an exciting milestone for Light & Wonder as we continue to bring innovative payments technology to casino floors,” said Muthu Palanichamy, Senior Vice President & General Manager, Global Systems at Light & Wonder. “We’re proud to collaborate with Crystal Bay Casino to debut this solution and deliver a faster, more seamless experience for players while creating meaningful value for operators.”
Light & Wonder added that it collaborated with payment service provider Koin for the Crystal Bay Casino Deployment.
