Melco Resorts & Entertainment has released details of its new luxury hotel brand REM ahead of its upcoming Grand Opening, with the new City of Dreams landmark offering seven unique room types across its 149-room inventory.
Having welcomed invited guests since August, Melco said REM will create an immersive sanctuary designed for “trend-conscious connoisseurs in pursuit of high-energy, high-style experiences, well-traveled and well-connected tastemakers, and discerning guests who value privacy and personalized service.”
The hotel’s 149 rooms are predominantly suite-led, with the seven distinctive room types called Premier Room, Twilight Suite, Luminous Suite, Euphoria Suite, Hypnotic Suite, The Haven and The Lair – each said to have its own distinctive character but with an “emotive palette” of red intertwining with cool metallic tones.
The most prestigious of these, located on the 30th floor, is The Lair, covering 1,200 square meters and boasting dedicated elevators leading directly to the villa. According to information from City of Dreams, The Lair features a 360-degree crimson velvet rotating bed, infrared sauna, swing sofa, private wellness and bathing sanctuary, and a signature indoor-outdoor pool suspended above the Cotai Strip. Unexpected signature features, including a crystal basketball hoop, DJ booth and metallic bar, add to the atmosphere. A private butler service aims to allow guests to enjoy luxury views and an indulgent, highly personalized private experience.
Defined by visually dynamic contemporary art, The Haven brings together curated wall art and photography while a sleek bar area and private butler service provides an inviting setting for guests to gather and unwind.

The Hypnotic Suite aims to create an immersive spatial experience via bold and opulent design, with visually compelling interior patterns and textures interacting with dynamic lighting effects to conjure a richly layered, immersive ambience. Private butler service, a swing sofa and a 360-degree rotating bed are designed to awaken the senses, COD said.

The Euphoria Suite offers sweeping views of the Cotai skyline, complemented by a swing sofa and private wellness facilities including an infrared sauna, creating an exclusive retreat.

Facing east with a 360-degree rotating bed, the Luminous Suite allows guests to welcome the morning sun which is said to provide an interplay of light and shadow within the suite.

The Twilight Suite is, according to COD, inspired by Macau’s nocturnal skyline layers and again looks to utilize light and shadow to define the contours of the space. The signature swing sofa invites guests to sit near the window, “adding a sense of ease to moments of relaxation.”

Finally, the Premier Room echoes the same bold luxury, utilizing a dynamic play of colors, textures and light to create an intimate sensory sanctuary, the company explained.

It added that all rooms are equipped with a range of smart comfort amenities, including in-room control tablet, soaking bathtub and experiential rain shower, bathroom floor heating, built-in Bluetooth speaker and a maxi bar.
Rooms aside, REM’s facilities include an array of leisure and wellness offerings include a unique outdoor pool, poolside all-day dining venue “Reverie Café,” a luxurious fitness center with professional personal training services and more.
Melco Chairman and CEO Lawrence Ho provided some early commentary on REM during the company’s recent 2Q26 earnings call in which he said the reception from invited guests had been “great.”
He added, “Macau has some of the nicest hotels in the world and there is already an oversaturation in the luxury market but I think REM is unlike anything in Macau, in Asia and probably the world.
“It’s a very unique product and a lot of fun. I think it’s luxury but highly differentiated from anything that’s in the market or even at City of Dreams. I think that complements our 5-star hotel offering very well, so we’re quite excited about REM.”
