According to provisional data released by Macau’s Public Security Police Force, around 210,000 visitors entered Macau on the fourth day of the Golden Week National Day holiday on Sunday. Combined with data already published by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) for the first three days, the total number of visitors over the four days was approximately 750,000.

The data shows that Sunday recorded about 210,000 incoming visitors, while the number of outbound travelers reached 214,000. The total number of border crossings on Sunday was 844,000, with 439,000 of those being entries.

Mainland China’s Golden Week began last Thursday 1 October and runs for seven days. According to MGTO data, the first day saw 169,635 visitors enter Macau, representing a year-on-year increase of 22.3%. On Friday there were 179,253 visitors, marking year-on-year growth of 10.2%, while another 191,661 visitors entered Macau on Saturday – a year-on-year increase of 6.4%.

Over the first three days combined, Macau welcomed a total of 540,549 visitors, with a daily average of 180,183 visitors, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 27.4%.

Among the visitors during the first three days, approximately 467,348 were from mainland China, averaging 155,783 visitors per day and up 34.1% compared to the same period last year. By comparison, arrivals from Hong Kong were up 7.3% to 51,423.
