Korea’s Lotte Tour Development generated all-time record visitation to its Jeju Dream Tower integrated resort in September, although it wasn’t enough to prevent a sharp decline in casino revenue for the month – in part due to lower hold.
According to information filed with the Korea Exchange, September visitor numbers reached 66,393, comfortably exceeding the previous high of 63,192 set in May. However, casino revenue fell by 45.1% year-on-year and 37.7% month-on-month to KRW29.1 billion (US$21.4 million) due to a 49.6% year-on-year decline in table revenue to KRW25.8 billion (US$19.0 million). Machine revenue grew by 80.6% year-on-year and 21.3% sequentially to KRW3.31 billion (US$2.43 million).
Casino drop amount didn’t fall as sharply, down 10.5% year-on-year and 19.0% month-on-month to KRW237.8 billion (US$175 million).
For the first nine months of 2026 combined, casino revenue is up 17.7% to KRW393.1 billion (US$289 million) on a 10.1% improvement in drop amount to KRW1.96 trillion (US$1.44 billion).
