Electronic table games supplier Interblock has announced experienced digital gaming executive Cathryn Lai as its new Chief Product Officer, overseeing both global product as well as the company’s online business.
According to a social media update, Interblock said Lai will lead the development of its global product strategy, leveraging player and operator insights to drive innovation and growth across the portfolio. She will also oversee our online business, tasked with “bringing Interblock’s world-class gaming experiences into the digital space while advancing a seamless omnichannel experience for players around the globe.”
The company notes that Lai brings more than 15 years of gaming industry experience, having held leadership positions across product management, commercial, operations and marketing.
“Her extensive expertise in both land-based and digital gaming will play a key role in accelerating Interblock’s continued growth and strengthening our position as an industry leader,” Interblock stated in its post.
Lai’s previous appointments include seven years as Senior Director of Product Management for WMS Gaming, five-and-a-half years in various roles at Scientific Games (prior to the demerger from its gaming arm), most recently as Senior Vice President of Products, Marketing, and Gaming Operations, and 17 months as Senior Vice President and General Manager US Digital for SG Digital. She also spent three years as Chief Commercial Officer for OpenBet and almost two years as COO of Sands Digital under Las Vegas Sands Corp.
Her appointment comes with Interblock undergoing a transition of its leadership team, most notable being the recent appointment of Kay Oswald as its new CEO in July.
