IDX Games, a supplier of advanced casino display technology and table game software to the APAC casino industry, has announced a new agreement to deploy its flagship X-Trend system and premium Halo 32” displays at Manila’s Newport World Resorts (NWR).
The company said in a statement that the equipment will be installed across the property’s mass and VIP gaming areas at the Garden Wing and Grand Wing following a rigorous testing phase originally initiated for Westside Resort, the group’s integrated resort development in Entertainment City.
IDX had earlier this year revealed a similar agreement for the Westside property.
According to IDX, NWR trialled the IDX ecosystem live on the Newport World Resorts casino floor during the Westside evaluation period, where it proved its “value and technical superiority.”
Sandy Amida, NWR’s Chief Gaming Officer, said, “As part of the process of testing and sourcing products for Westside Resort, we looked at and tested the IDX system on the Newport World Resorts casino floor. To complement the property’s recent rollout of smart tables, we also wanted to enhance the overall look and experience for our players, and the IDX X-Trend, along with its Halo 32” display, performed perfectly to help achieve this.”
IDX said that a critical factor in the selection was the system’s underlying technological framework, which is designed to align flawlessly with modern casino infrastructure.
“The IDX system not only has great design and graphics, but it is built on the same architecture as our smart tables, so it complements our smart table system through its Network Management Console,” Amida added.
“The IDX team accommodated custom graphics content and hardware, providing us with a unique product from those in the market.”
IDX also explained that its IDX X-Trend system brings advanced gameplay features to the NWR gaming floor, with the platform including a robust suite of Jackpot and Custom Bonus games which, Because of the flexible architecture, easily integrate directly into the property’s existing smart table system, supporting seamless operations and enhancing the player experience.
“Expanding our footprint within the Travellers International Hotel Group portfolio is a massive achievement for IDX,” said Peter Johns, Chief Commercial officer at IDX. “Newport World Resorts is the Philippines’ pioneer integrated resort, and bringing our Halo 32” displays and custom bonus software to their mass and VIP gaming areas at the Garden and Grand Wings showcases the true versatility and premium nature of our products.”
IDX added that its X-Trend systems and Halo 32” displays are currently being rolled out across the NWR gaming floor.
IDX Is distributed and sold in the Philippines via Asia Pioneer Entertainment Ltd.
