The 20.5% increase followed a massive 570% rise in net profit attributable to owners of the company to HK$1.55 billion (US$198 million) for the period, largely due to a HK$868 million (US$111 million) derivative gain on convertible bonds and currency swaps.
However, Wynn Macau Ltd – which operates two Macau integrated resorts in Wynn Palace and Wynn Macau – also booked a HK$419 million (US$53.5 million) improvement in operating profit on a 14.4% increase in operating revenues to HK$15.6 billion (US$1.99 billion).
Releasing its interim results overnight, Wynn said that casino revenues for the six months to 30 June 2026 grew by 14.7% year-on-year to HK$13.4 billion (US$1.71 billion) with the company citing higher mass market gaming volumes. Mass market table games win increased by 19.9% to HK$13.1 billion (US$1.67 billion) in 1H26 with total mass market table drop up 12.6% to HK$58.9 billion (US$7.51 billion).
Conversely, VIP table games win decreased by 14.6% to HK$1.80 billion (US$230 million) with total VIP table games turnover down 22.6% to HK$63.3 billion (US$8.08 billion).
