Macau’s Paradise Entertainment has warned that it expects to record a HK$82.6 million (US$10.5 million) loss in the six months to 30 June 2026, reversing the HK$177.8 million (US$22.7 million) profit reported a year earlier. Last year’s result included profit of HK$148.8 million (US$19.0 million) from what are now discontinued operations.
Issuing a profit warning ahead of the company’s full results release later this month, Paradise said the 1H26 loss was mainly due to the closure of Macau’s satellite casinos later last year, which put an end to its casino management services business in Macau. Paradise had managed Casino Kam Pek Paradise on the Macau peninsula, a business that generated HK$382.6 million (US$48.7 million) during the first six months of 2025.
The company also pointed to lower sales and leasing revenue of electronic gaming equipment and systems during the period, particularly with regard to the sale of its live multi game (LMG) terminals and systems in Macau.
This, it explained, could be due to customers opting to postpone purchases in anticipation of the group’s next-generation LMG platform “Black Coral” EGM, scheduled to launch in the second half of 2026 or early 2027. LT Game is the group’s gaming machine manufacturer and supplier arm.
Paradise Chairman and Managing Director Jay Chun recently revealed that the company has responded to the closure of its satellite casino operation by pivoting to new business lines, including a casino advisory business, and enhancing its focus on innovation in the EGM space.
