Mark Tricano, a former Galaxy Entertainment Group executive and a veteran of the US casino industry, has been named new Senior Vice President and Property President of City of Dreams Manila, effective from mid-September.
He replaces long-time Property President Geoff Andres, who has decided to retire and return to the United States to join his family, according to an internal memo seen by Inside Asian Gaming.
Tricano, who will report directly to parent company Melco Resorts President Evan Winkler, boasts more than 20 years of experience in Macau, Las Vegas and regional US cities – most recently as Corporate SVP at Red Rock Resorts in Las Vegas, where he was responsible for financial planning and analysis, labor strategy and efficiency across a platform of 7,800 employees.
He previously served as President of Fontainebleau Las Vegas, where he guided the US$3.7 billion integrated resort through its pre-opening; as General Manager of the flagship Red Rock Resort for Station Casinos; and in various senior roles with JACK Entertainment, having begun his career with Caesars Entertainment.
Between 2019 and 2022 Tricano served as Senior Vice President at Macau’s Galaxy Entertainment Group, overseeing Gaming Development & Optimization, Labor Planning and Hotel Revenue Management.
Melco noted that Andres is retiring after more than a decade with Melco – starting at City of Dreams Manila, briefly transferring to Studio City, Macau and then returning to City of Dreams Manila in late 2020.
“We will miss Geoff as he has been a loyal colleague and a big part of the Melco family,” the company said.
Melco recently abandoned a plan to sell its 50% stake in City of Dreams Manila following a strategic evaluation.
