Shin Hwa World Ltd, the parent company of Korean integrated resort Jeju Shin Hwa, says it expects to report a reduction in net loss of between 60% and 75% for the six months to 30 June 2026 when compared with the same period in 2025.
The company recorded a loss of HK$244.4 million (US$31.2 million) in 1H25, suggesting the net loss for the same period in 2026 will be between US$7.8 million and US$12.5 million.
In a profit alert, Shin Hwa World explained that the expected decrease in consolidated net loss was mainly attributable to an increase in consolidated revenue, particularly from the group’s integrated resort business; an increase in fair value of investment properties; and tax recoverable on tax paid in prior years.
Finalized interim results for 1H26 are due to be published in late August.
Shin Hwa World is home to “LES A Casino” – formerly Landing Casino – which IAG understands has largely turned its focus to hosting major international poker events in a bid to drive greater visitation to the property.
It most recently hosted the K Poker Cup x King Poker Cup, a 17-day festival that concluded on Monday.
