Crane NXT, the US-based industrial technology firm that counts Crane Payment Innovations (CPI) among its core businesses, reported a 22% year-on-year increase in sales to US$493 million in the June 2026 quarter, although the company noted that volumes at CPI itself were down.
In its 2Q26 earnings release, Crane NXT also revealed a 42.2% increase in net income to US$35.4 million, with Adjusted EBITDA rising 18.0% to US$115.5 million.
The improvement was due to “Continued strong demand in the currency business, cost saving actions in Crane Authentication and the sales benefit from acquisitions – partially offset by the impact of lower volumes in CPI.”
CPI, a leader in payment and cash-handing technology for slot machines, is part of Crane NXT’s Detection and Traceability Technologies (DTT) segment, which itself saw a 17.5% year-on-year increase in sales to US$226.7 million, with Adjusted EBITDA up 19.0% to US$58.8 million and operating profit up 116% to US$38.9 million. The company does not break-out CPI’s results from within DTT.
Crane NXT President and CEO Aaron W. Saak said, “We had strong operational performance in Q2, delivering on our value creation priorities of accelerating growth, building on our leadership positions and driving operational excellence.”
