Macau-based sports streaming company “M Plus Sports Media” announced Monday that it has obtained the exclusive broadcasting rights for Japan’s J.League football competition for the 2026 to 2029 seasons in Macau.
The broadcaster, which already offers coverage of the Premier League, LaLiga, Serie A, Bundesliga, and FA Cup, said this further strengthens its portfolio.
Starting this Friday, J.League matches and other exciting sports events will be streamed exclusively via the “M Plus Live” app and its dedicated Macau cable TV channels.
“Securing the broadcasting rights for the J.League reflects our firm commitment to delivering the world’s most thrilling football action to Macau,” said Alan Yung, Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at M Plus Sports.
“By adding this premier competition alongside our existing coverage of the Premier League, LaLiga, Serie A, Bundesliga and FA Cup, we have significantly enhanced our sports content library and introduced an unparalleled lineup of high-quality international sports to local fans.”
Yoshikazu Nonomura, Chairman of the J.League, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, adding that the collaboration will help promote the development of football in Macau while further advancing the globalization of the J.League.
In addition, M Plus Sports Media announced a new partnership with the local basketball team under Macau Slot Corporation, the “Macau Slot Basketball Team.”
As the team’s official media partner, M Plus will provide exclusive player interviews, behind-the-scenes coverage and community outreach efforts to elevate the profile of Macau’s basketball scene.
