Spanish gaming supplier Zitro has announced Ángel Sueiro, the former Chief Operating Officer of Philippine-listed PH Resorts Group, as its new Regional Director for Asia.
The company described the appointment as a strategic move to boost the company’s growth and sales in the Philippines and across the region.
Zitro noted that Sueiro brings more than 25 years of experience in gaming and hospitality, mostly in Asia, where he has built a deep knowledge of the market and long-standing relationships with operators across the region. Based in Manila, he will lead Zitro’s commercial growth throughout Asia, it explained.
“Zitro’s products are performing strongly in every market where they are present, and Asia is no exception,” said Sebastian Salat, President – International at Zitro.
“The appointment of Ángel responds to that momentum: we want to be closer than ever to Asian operators, and the experience and reputation he brings will be key to accelerating our growth and our sales across the region.”
Sueiro added, “Joining Zitro is an exciting challenge. It is a company admired throughout the industry for the strength of its products and its constant innovation. After more than two decades working in this region, I know what Asian operators expect from a supplier: reliability, innovation, and products that deliver results from day one, and Zitro has all three. My goal is to make Zitro a reference in every jurisdiction in the region, and I believe we have everything we need to achieve it. I can’t wait to get started.”
Sueiro spent more than nine years with PH Resorts Group – the gaming and hospitality arm of Philippines tycoon Dennis Uy’s Udenna Development Corp that was developing the Emerald Bay integrated resort in Cebu before financial pressures put an end to the project.
He previously spent well over a decade in senior roles with fellow Philippines resort firm Thunderbird.
