G2E Asia held its 18th edition in May, as the Asian gaming industry came together at The Venetian Macao.
Asia’s longest-running industry trade show, G2E Asia, returned to The Venetian Macao from 12 to 14 May 2026, bringing with it a who’s who of the regional gaming industry.
The event was seen as a unique opportunity to bring together representatives from across Asia-Pacific to not only showcase their latest innovations but also enjoy a series of important industry networking opportunities. These included the biggest networking event of the week – IAG’s very own The Industry Party – held at Vista at MGM Cotai on the Wednesday evening.
At the G2E Asia conference, one of the highlights was a Keynote Address by Sands China CEO and Executive Director Grant Chum, who pointed to Macau’s “impregnable” advantage over its regional competition due to the sheer scale and quality of its supply.
“[Macau] is an unparalleled, unmatched, critical mass of first-class resorts in every sense,” Chum explained.
“For jurisdictions looking to liberalize, cities are looking to add one or two of these amazing integrated resorts with all of the diversity within the same building, but Macau, on Cotai has 10 or 11 world class integrated resorts.
“It is almost impossible to imagine that over the next one decade, two decades, three decades, there could be another city in the region that could rival this critical mass of premium integrated resorts.”
G2E Asia organizer Reed Exhibitions (RX) said this year’s exhibition covered more than 30,000 square meters of exhibition space and had more than 150 exhibiting companies.
