Philippines online gaming giant DigiPlus Interactive Corp is reportedly in discussions to purchase a hotel located alongside its recently acquired LaVie Resort & Casino in Malate, Manila, with the goal of developing a full-scale gaming complex.

According to a report by InsiderPH, the building in question is Diamond Hotel Philippines, which is owned by San Miguel Corp Chairman and CEO Ramon S Ang and connects to LaVie via a roof bridge.

The report, which cites information from various insiders, claims that DigiPlus has already tabled multiple offers to Ang for the 480-room hotel on Manila Bay although all of those offers are said to have been rebuked.

LaVie Resort & Casino in Malate, Manila

DigiPlus, which counts BingoPlus and sports betting arm ArenaPlus among its assets, recently reached an agreement to acquire a controlling interest in LaVie – home to New Coast Hotel Manila – for US$206 million as a means of diversifying into the land-based gaming space.

Should it successfully acquire Diamond Hotel Philippines, it is suggested that DigiPlus would look to spend up to US$1 billion to transform the two hotels into one much larger entertainment complex.

The online gaming giant recently reported net income of Php12.6 billion (US$205 million) in 2025 on a 12% increase in revenue to Php84.2 billion (US$1.37 billion).
