Matsui will showcase its latest gaming chip collection at G2E Asia, giving visitors the opportunity to experience its advancements firsthand.

Matsui has established itself as one of the world’s most reliable manufacturers of premium gaming chips and table equipment. Since opening its dedicated chip production facility in 2000, the company has built a strong global reputation by combining exceptional durability, advanced security features, competitive pricing and responsive service. Today, Matsui chips are trusted by more than 1,000 casinos across over 100 countries, serving both traditional and next-generation gaming floors with consistent quality that operators depend on.

The industry is rapidly embracing smart gaming table technologies, and gaming chips sit at the very center of this transformation. As Shigeki Machida, Managing Director of Matsui’s Macau office, explains, “Gaming chips are central to these advancements, with RFID technology playing a pivotal role.”

Matsui recognized this shift early and has been supplying RFID-enabled chips for many years. The company holds a full license to produce PJM RFID chips – the dominant standard in casinos worldwide – while also offering flexible alternatives such as 13.56 MHz Mode 1 and Mode 3 to suit different operator requirements and system integrations.

Post-pandemic market recovery has driven a noticeable surge in demand for RFID solutions. Operators are restarting previously stalled projects and investing in smarter, more efficient table operations. In response, Matsui has delivered several major RFID chip orders in recent years, totaling several million pieces across Asia, Europe and the Americas. These large-scale projects highlight the growing confidence in Matsui’s ability to meet high-volume needs with both technical excellence and reliable delivery.

A significant recent milestone is the successful supply of RFID chips for a major new integrated resort project in the Philippines. This contract follows many other substantial RFID chip deliveries – operators in Macau, Canada, South Korea and another large-scale project in the Philippines.

Together, these consecutive wins demonstrate the trust that leading developers place in Matsui’s chips, security capabilities and overall service quality. Additional RFID orders are currently in progress, signaling continued momentum as more properties move toward intelligent table systems.

RFID technology delivers clear operational benefits, including secure chip authentication, real-time data collection, accurate dealing and seamless integration with smart table platforms. However, true protection requires multiple layers of defense. Matsui complements RFID with a comprehensive suite of security features.

Traditional elements such as visible and invisible UV markings, Laser Trace and holograms are enhanced by proprietary innovations like MG EYE security printing. The company also offers Electro-Magnetic (EM) technology, which is particularly effective for staff gate screening to prevent internal theft. This multi-layered approach ensures that operators receive robust protection that goes well beyond basic authentication.

At this year’s G2E Asia, Matsui will showcase its latest gaming chip collection, giving visitors the opportunity to experience these advancements firsthand. Highlights include new EDGE-INSERT style decal chips, colorful side-printed Acrylic Plaques, fresh PJM RFID-compatible designs and antibacterial synthetic layouts. Live demonstrations of RFID chip functionality and the EM Gate security system will allow operators to see how Matsui solutions perform in real-world conditions.

Machida emphasizes the evolution of the technology, stating, “The quality and software have improved rapidly in the past decade to the level that it is able to be utilized in all aspects required by the operators – not only for chip authentication but also for smart table operations.”

He notes that while demand for non-RFID chips remains strong, the shift toward intelligent solutions is undeniable and expected to accelerate. Matsui’s strength lies in its balanced offering: world-class durability and security, proven expertise in both traditional and RFID technologies, a track record of successful large-scale international projects (including the latest Philippines IR contract) and a commitment to value-driven service.

For casino operators preparing for the smart gaming future, Matsui provides a dependable partner capable of supporting both current needs and long-term upgrades. Whether outfitting a new integrated resort or refreshing an existing property, Matsui Chip Masters delivers the reliability, innovation and security that modern gaming demands.

Visit Matsui at G2E Asia to explore the latest collection and discuss how these solutions can elevate your gaming floor.
