SJM Resorts, S.A. announced at a special event on Tuesday that it will co-present, alongside the Vivienne Westwood team, the Vivienne Westwood & Jewellery Exhibition from 29 April to 15 July at Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau.
The exhibition aims to offer visitors the chance to experience up close the fashion house’s iconic jewelry.
SJM held an opening ceremony on Tuesday, welcoming special guests including Cho Miyeon of Korean girl group i-dle and Anson Lo of Hong Kong boy band MIRROR.
On the same day, SJM also hosted an exclusive media preview and guided tour, led by the curatorial and exhibition team, introducing the exhibition’s key themes, highlights and the creative narrative of the Vivienne Westwood house.
Vivienne Westwood & Jewellery Exhibition 2026 Macau is presented across eight rooms, each paying tribute to different design eras and creative concepts – from punk Origins to the fantasies of Wonderland, the ecological philosophy of Do It Yourself, an exploration of cultures and 18th Century Parure, and an ode to the house emblem in the Orb room.
Organizers noted that the Macau stop follows the strong reception of the exhibition in Shanghai and Chengdu, as part of its continuing tour.
Curated by the Vivienne Westwood team, the exhibition brings together four decades of special archive and runway jewelry – systematically compiled and displayed as a collection for the first time – allowing audiences to observe, through fine details, Westwood’s design language, approach to craft and enduring creative spirit.
Admission to the exhibition is free, albeit with limited capacity. Members of the public can reserve entry online and on-site guided tours are also available to lead visitors through the design stories, historical references and creative ideas behind the works.
Vivienne Westwood is widely recognized as one of the most influential fashion designers and activists in the world. She began designing in 1971 and by the late 1970s became a symbol of the British avant-garde for pioneering the punk look with her subversive, tradition-challenging style.
Throughout her life, Westwood captured the public imagination while raising awareness of environmental and human rights issues. Her influence extends beyond fashion, leaving a lasting legacy in culture and public discourse.
