Travellers International Hotel Group Inc, operator of Manila’s Newport World Resorts, reported net revenues of Php31.9 billion (US$532 million) in 2025, aided by a 4% increase in net gaming revenue to Php24.2 billion (US$563 million). Attributable profit increased 21% to Php1.5 billion (US$25.0 million), aided further by lower financial charges, the company explained.
The positive result, which defied the broader industry declines experienced by other Entertainment City operators due to the fallaway in international visitation from South Korea and China, formed part of parent company Alliance Global Group’s (AGI) FY25 results, released Tuesday.
In a filing, AGI said the 4% growth in net gaming revenue reported by Travellers cushioned a 4% decline in hotel and other revenue to Php7.6 billion (US$127 million), albeit coming off a high base. EBITDA over the same period grew by 7% to Php9.0 billion (US$150 million).
Group-wide, AGI registered a record high in net income of Php30.6 billion (US$510 million) in 2025, reflecting 10% growth from Php27.9 billion (US$465 million) the year before. Consolidated revenue reached Php189.7 billion (US$3.16 billion), supported by higher contributions from real estate and leisure and entertainment. Attributable profit stood at Php20.7 billion (US$345 million), up by 19% year-on-year.
“Once again, the Group delivered another strong financial and operating performance in 2025 despite macroeconomic headwinds,” said AGI’s CEO, Kevin Tan. “Most of our businesses surpassed peer levels, particularly in the office, retail residential, and leisure and hospitality segments. Our profitability was further supported by conscious cost efficiency measures which we intend to continue implementing across the business.
“While we face this year with cautious optimism, we are excited to advance several initiatives that showcase our pursuit of excellence. We look forward to balancing proactive improvements with a strategic response to ongoing geopolitical and macro challenges.”
Aside from Travellers, AGI’s business interests include real estate development via Megaworld Corporation; spirits manufacturing through Emperador Inc, the Philippines’ McDonald’s franchises through Golden Arches Development Corporation (GADC) and infrastructure development through Infracorp.
