Former Macau junket figure Ng Man Sun has been appointed as Chairman and Executive Director of the Board of Directors of Asian gaming investor Century Entertainment International Holdings Ltd almost a year after he stepped down as Chairman and CEO.
In a filing, the company said it has entered into a service agreement with for a term of three years from 15 April 2026, entitling him to remuneration of HK$15,000 per month. Tang Ho Ka, who has been serving as Chairman and CEO, has relinquished the chairmanship but remains as an executive Director and CEO.
The return of Ng comes some 11 months after he stepped away from Century Entertainment completely in May 2025, citing “other personal commitments”. Shortly afterwards, the company terminated an agreement it had previously signed with Ng – who is also its controlling shareholder – for the operation of VIP gaming tables at a new casino in Cambodia’s Dara Sakor.
Having previously served as Chairman and CEO from September 2012 until his resignation in May 2025. Century Entertainment described Ng in Wednesday’s filing as “a highly respected veteran of Macau’s gaming sector with over four decades of experience in VIP gaming, junket operations and casino investment management. He played a significant role in the evolution of Macau’s junket intermediary ecosystem during the industry’s liberalization phase and has established longstanding working relationships with key stakeholders in advancing high-roller gaming services and cross-border facilitation arrangements. His involvement has also contributed to the standardization of junket-mediated VIP operations and the broader adoption of Macau’s hospitality and gaming practices in regional markets.”
Century Entertainment was formerly known as Amax International Holdings, which under Ng’s watch and thanks to his connections to Dr Stanley Ho was a significant player in Macau’s junket industry. Amax also held a near-25% stake in the Greek Mythology casino which it wrote-off as an asset in 2019, some four years after Macau’s DICJ ordered its closure.
Since Ng’s departure in May last year, Century Entertainment has entered into a partnership with Philippines-based World Platinum Technologies Inc (WPT) – to develop, operate and monetize online-gaming-related mobile apps.
It has also flagged the possibility of operating gaming tables at a casino in Vietnam, revealing late last year it had signed a non-binding letter of intent in such regard.
