Philippine online gaming giant DigiPlus has launched a new partnership with boxing legend Manny Pacquiao under which it has developed a suite of nine Pacquiao-themed games designed for the Filipino market.
The partnership will also see DigiPlus brand ArenaPlus sponsor Pacquiao in his upcoming fights, and another brand GameZone play on his “champion mindset” via table game tournaments involving traditional Filipino card games such as Tongits and Pusoy.
At a media event in Manila on Wednesday, DigiPlus said a prominent feature of the collaboration is a content-driven approach that transcends traditional branding through a suite of nine Manny Pacquiao-themed titles made for Filipinos and “carefully designed to reflect Pacquiao’s achievements and indomitable fighting spirit.”
The collection includes titles such as “Super Ace Pacquiao”, “Pacman’s Color Game”, “Wild Bounty Pacquiao”, “Pacquiao Fortune”, “Gates of Manny Super PacMan” and “Fortune Gems Pacquiao”. The full lineup for the year, which also includes “Boxing King Pacquiao”, “Pacman’s Bingo Boom” and “Manny Punch,” is built on mechanics from popular games in the Philippine market to ensure a meaningful and relatable experience.
The partnership also spotlights Pacquiao’s role as the official brand ambassador for ArenaPlus and GameZone, with ArenaPlus to standing in the boxing icon’s corner for his upcoming fights.
The GameZone tour, which offers table game tournaments in the Philippines, will allow players to rise through the ranks with skill and strategy to become the “Alas” in their own game, transforming traditional Filipino card games such as Tongits and Pusoy into modern competitive experiences and shaping the future of skill-based gaming.
The collaboration is, DigiPlus revealed, anchored by a new payments integration with MannyPay – Pacquiao’s payment platform. DigiPlus, together with its suite of platforms – BingoPlus, ArenaPlus and GameZone – therefore becomes the first official gaming partner of MannyPay.
MannyPay, powered by Traxion Pay Inc, is a Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP)-licensed payment infrastructure. DigiPlus said it partners only with BSP-accredited payment channels in accordance with the requirements of gaming regulator PAGCOR to ensure all player wallet transactions are processed through secure and compliant payment platforms.
“As the digital entertainment scene in the Philippines continues to evolve, our audience is seeking more than just games. They want authentic, narrative-driven experiences,” said DigiPlus Chairman Eusebio H. Tanco.
“And so this collaboration allows us to combine the legendary story of our boxing hero – the ‘PacMan,’ the ‘People’s Champ,’ the ‘Pambansang Kamao’ – with our robust technological infrastructure, providing our players with an innovative, secure and truly local experience.”
Pacquiao added, “This partnership with DigiPlus is special because it was created with our countrymen in mind. Whether it is through the games that tell my story, or handling payments with MannyPay, we are showing the world what Filipinos are capable of.
“I am also honored to be representing ArenaPlus and GameZone as we continue to champion the spirit of The Winner in everything we do.”
