After suspending service for more than a year-and-a-half, Air Macau has announced plans to resume flights to the Philippines starting 1 July – further expanding international travel options.
The 2026 summer-fall civil aviation schedule will officially begin on 29 March with Air Macau unveiling its route plans for the summer.
Air Macau noted that it will further enhance its international and domestic connecting services by increasing frequencies on core routes and resuming key routes.
Regarding routes to mainland China, Air Macau is focusing on increasing frequencies on key mainland routes: the Macau-Shanghai Hongqiao route will increase from 14 round-trip flights per week to 18 and the Macau-Chengdu Tianfu route from 10 round-trip flights per week to 14.
For international routes, the airline is prioritizing increased frequencies on Southeast Asian routes. In the new flight schedule, flights from Macau to Bangkok, Hanoi and Kuala Lumpur will increase to three, two and one flights daily, offering travelers more options for travel to and from Southeast Asia and facilitating travel arrangements.
Additionally, Air Macau plans to resume flights to the Philippines starting 1 July. This marks the first announcement of a resumption since the suspension of flights to the Philippines was announced on 1 August 2024, at which time Air Macau stated that it was making dynamic adjustments in response to market needs and temporarily suspending the route between Macau and Manila.
Following the suspension, airlines such as Cebu Pacific and AirAsia have continued to operate routes between Macau and the Philippines.
Regarding the Macau-Fukuoka, Japan route – which has drawn significant public attention – Air Macau also plans to resume service during the summer.
Air Macau stated that these plans “precisely meet the summer travel and family visitation needs of Macau residents, further enriching international travel options during the summer.”
