Foreigner-only casino operator Grand Korea Leisure (GKL) reported casino revenue of KRW38.1 billion (US$26.1 million) in February, up 17.3% year-on-year and 4.0% higher than in January.

The improvement came on a 9.4% year-on-year improvement in drop amount to KRW285.7 billion (US$195 million), although this was 6.6% lower on a sequential basis.

The February result included a 15.9% year-on-year improvement in table games revenue to KRW34.8 billion (US$23.8 million) and a 35.0% rise in machine revenue to KRW3.32 billion (US$2.3 million).

The solid numbers echo similar growth being experienced across the sector, with both Paradise Co and Lotte Tour also reporting rising revenues in recent days.

GKL, which recently dropped a plan to acquire the site of its Seven Luck Casino at Seoul Dragon City, previously reported casino revenue of KRW425.3 billion (US$294 million) in FY25.

GKL operates three casinos in South Korea in Seoul and Busan under the Seven Luck brand.
