Malaysian gaming product distributor RGB International Bhd reported a 69% decline in group-wide revenue in 4Q25, impacted by the bulk sale of gaming machines to Philippine gaming regulator PAGCOR in the prior year period.
Releasing its Q4 and FY25 financial results, RGB said its quarterly revenue dropped to MYR 108.9 million (US$28.0 million), including a 73% drop in its core Sales and Marketing Division to MYR90.8 million (US$23.3 million) “mainly due to delivery of the bulk order in Q4 2024.” Segment profit fell 66% to MYR11.8 million (US$3.0 million).
Revenue in the Technical Support and Management division decreased by 24% for the quarter to MYR17.2 million (US$4.4 million), with a loss of MYR3.1 million (US$797,000), mainly due to the weaker performance at several key outlets driven by high jackpot payouts and the continued closure of certain outlets in the Poipet region.
For FY25, RGB’s group-wide revenue fell by 54% to MYR348.4 million (US$89.6 million) and profit by 58% to MYR43.7 million (US$11.2 million).
Nevertheless, RGB said it remains “cautiously optimistic” over its outlook for the year ahead.
“Performance across the regional gaming industry is expected to be influenced by regulatory developments, macroeconomic conditions, consumer spending patterns and tourism trends within the Group’s principal markets of the Philippines, Cambodia and Vietnam,” it stated.
“Leveraging its established position as a leading gaming machines and equipment distributor and machine concessionaire, the Group will continue to pursue expansion opportunities, operational enhancements and new project rollouts across these markets, while maintaining operational resilience.
“The Group will also continue to prioritize prudent cost management, operational efficiency and disciplined capital deployment while selectively pursuing strategic partnerships and new market opportunities to strengthen its regional footprint.
“Barring any unforeseen adverse developments in regulatory, economic or market conditions, the Group expects to deliver a satisfactory performance for the financial year ending 2026.”
