As the Lunar New Year Golden Week reaches its midpoint, Macau continues to experience a surge in tourism activity. According to data released by the Public Security Police Force (PSP) this morning, a total of 219,368 visitors entered Macau on the fourth day of the Lunar New Year on Friday. That figure fell just short of the record 227,943 arrivals reported a day earlier.

The data shows that Macau recorded a total of 744,698 border crossings throughout the day. Among these, 374,643 were entries, with visitors accounting for 218,995 of them. Meanwhile, there were 370,055 departures.

Since the start of the Lunar New Year holiday in mainland China on 15 February Lunar New Year’s Day, Macau has welcomed a total of 998,934 visitors over six days, with a daily average of approximately 166,000 visitors.
