The new operating entity of the LET X integrated resort development in Manila’s Entertainment City precinct has announced that the project has been renamed to Westside Resort.
The new name follows a change of control late last year through which Newport World Resorts operator Travellers International Hotel Group and its parent company Alliance Global Group assumed a majority stake in the US$1.25 billion project from Suntrust Resort Developers Inc, which counts Hong Kong’s LET Group as a 51% shareholder.
Under the terms of a “strategic working agreement” designed to ensure the development could be completed within a reasonable timeframe, the relevant parties formed a new entity, Entertainment City Resorts Corporation (ECRC), as the new operating entity of the LET X project. ECRC is 50% owned by Alliance Global Group while another new entity called Westside Bayshore Holding Corporation (WBHC) owns the other 50%. WBHC counts Travellers as its main shareholder with a 60% stake, leaving the remaining 40% for Suntrust.
This ultimately means that Alliance Global Group and Travellers own a combined 80% interest in the project, with Travellers also designated to assume operational control of the IR once complete.
Noting in a Friday social media post that management is now under ECRC, the group revealed the new Westside Resort name as it pushed to meet a planned 3Q26 completion deadline.
“This marks an exciting new chapter as we align our operations to deliver a world-class entertainment and hospitality experience in the heart of Entertainment City,” it said.
“While our management has evolved, our commitment to excellence remains steadfast. We look forward to welcoming guests, partners and new team members to Westside Resort.”
