To attract international visitors, the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) will provide free one-way bus tickets to Macau for international visitors arriving at Hong Kong International Airport between 20 January and 31 December.

Following its implementation in 2024 and 2025, the MGTO will extend the “free direct coach tickets from the restricted area of Hong Kong International Airport to Macau” program into 2026. From January to December, a free cross-border bus transport service will be provided to international visitors arriving in Hong Kong.

The MGTO noted that upon arrival at Hong Kong International Airport, eligible international visitors can complete the required formalities at the designated counter in the restricted area to obtain free one-way coach tickets for direct transfer from the SkyPier Terminal to Macau via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge.

The MGTO stated that the special offer aims to attract more international visitors for an extended journey to Macau to expand international visitor markets.

It will also launch a series of online and offline promotional campaigns, including social media outreach, collaborations with airlines and partnerships with travel agencies worldwide to promote Macau’s major events and further encourage international visitors to travel to Macau.

Macau welcomed a record-breaking 40 million visitors in 2025. While the total number of international visitors for the full year remains unpublished, the first three quarters of 2025 saw 1,885,965 international arrivals, marking a 12.4% year-on-year increase.
