Foreigner-only casino operator Grand Korea Leisure (GKL) reported a 6.5% year-on-year and 17.9% month-on-month decline in casino sales in October to KRW28.6 billion (US$19.8 million).

The October result, which follows a year of strong growth for the partially government-owned company, included a 9.5% year-on-year decline in table game sales to KRW25.2 billion (US$17.5 million), although machine sales were up 24.8%. Compared with September, tables games fell 19.8% and machines by 0.3%.

This came despite a 5.5% year-on-year and 4.5% sequential increase in drop amount to KRW330.3 billion (US$229 million).

Casino sales for the first 10 months of 2025 combined sits at KRW347.3 billion (US$241 million), up 9.2% on the same period last year, albeit with drop down 1.2% to KRW3.05 trillion (US$2.11 billion).

GKL operates three casinos in South Korea in Seoul and Busan under the Seven Luck brand.
