Philippines-based DigiPlus Interactive Corp, formerly known as Leisure & Resorts World Corp, has reported net income of Php2 billion (US$34.9 million) in 1Q24, up by a whopping 358% year-on-year thanks to the heightened contribution of its gaming offerings.

The impressive results came on the back of a 226% increase in revenues to Php13.6 billion (US$237.1 million) as user traffic to its flagship platforms BingoPlus and ArenaPlus continued to grow, combined with fresh contributions from the company’s new game offerings.

EBITDA grew by 313% year-on-year to Php2.1 billion (US$36.6 million).
Recapping its new game offerings, DigiPlus said it has continued to introduce “innovative and exciting product offerings that cater to a variety of demographics and lifestyle preferences”, including the launch of Perya Game, a local leisure and entertainment game platform with a nod to traditional Filipino carnival.

The platform has brought popular local games such as “Color Games”, “Pusoy”, “Lucky 9”, “Tongits”, and “Pa Pula, Pa Puti” online.

DigiPlus President Andy Tsui said, “We intend to sustain our growth momentum by continuing to invest in innovation and new technologies to enhance user experience and adding new digital offerings traditionally well-loved by Filipinos.

“By delivering innovative, fun, and accessible digital offerings, we aim to continue revolutionizing the entertainment space in the Philippines.”
