Lotte Tour’s Jeju Dream Tower integrated resort saw its casino revenues hit a new all-time high of KRW23.9 billion (US$18.0 million) in January, up 66.3% month-on-month and by 267% compared with January 2023.
This was despite hotel revenues falling by 26.2% sequentially to KRW5.15 billion (US$3.9 million).
According to information filed with the Korea Exchange on Friday, Jeju Dream Tower generated KRW22.8 billion (US$17.2 million) in table game revenues in January, up 70.8% month-on-month, and machine revenues of KRW1.10 billion (US$829,000), up7.5%.
Table drop of KRW120.8 billion (US$91.1 million) was down 4.3% month-on-month but 79.7% higher year-on-year.
Lotte Tour previously reported casino revenues of KRW152.3 billion (US$116 million) in 2023, up 249% thanks to Korea’s COVID-19 recovery and the return of international tourists.
Jeju Dream Tower stands out as the tallest building in Jeju at 38 floors or 169 meters high and features a retail mall, 14 restaurants and bars, an outdoor pool deck, top floor skydeck with lounge, two spas and a casino boasting 150 tables and 300 slot machines.
The casino was relocated from its former home at the smaller Lotte Hotel Jeju in June 2021 and covers more than 5,000 square meters while offering 141 gaming tables, 190 slot machines and 71 electronic table games.
