Global testing and certification firm Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) has named former Macau junket executive Felix Lai as its new Customer Service Representative for GLI Asia.

Lai, who has more than 10 years of experience in gaming and non-gaming in Macau and the Philippines, will be based in GLI’s new Macau office from where he will work with the company’s clients across the region.

GLI said he will be tasked with “helping [clients] navigate the evolving future of gaming by taking full advantage of GLI’s exclusive integrated approach to compliance.”

In hiring Lai, the company cited his “rich and diverse work history” which includes experience on the casino floor and in the casino cage, as well as working with slot developers and non-gaming companies in online and offline enterprises.

“We are very pleased that Lai will be joining the team as Client Service Representative of GLI Asia,” said General Manager of GLI Asia Limited, Marina Wong.

“We welcome his broad experience and unique skillset specific to the Asian region, which we believe will be very valuable for our company.”

Lai previously served as Manager of Business Development for Red Point Technology and was Manager of Business Development for slot and system developer Solis Group.

Prior to joining the supplier side, he was Manager of Business Development for the business, retail and catering sides of Megstar International, and Assistant Manager of Business Development for Suncity Group, GLI said.
