The Inside Asian Gaming team mixed it up a little bit this week, taking a closer look at the bet sizing of customers on the main gaming floors of three of Macau’s integrated resorts in Cotai.

While Galaxy Macau, The Venetian Macao and City of Dreams all remained quiet while the SAR continues its long wait for border restrictions to be eased, there were still a handful of sizeable bets being placed when IAG visited mid-week, including one player betting HK$15,000 (US$1,935) per hand of baccarat at The Venetian Macao and another betting HK$10,000 (US$1,290) per hand at Galaxy.

While IAG saw only five players filling the vast expanses of The Venetian Macao’s main gaming floor, their average bet was HK$5,040 (US$650) compared with HK$1,956 (US$252) at Galaxy and HK$1,200 (US$155) at City of Dreams.
