Attendance at the 2012 Global Gaming Expo increased by almost 7 percent over 2011, according to a newly released audit of the Las Vegas trade show and conference.
G2E, as it’s called, which is held in October at the Sands Expo and Convention Center, drew 15,708 attendees. In the past two years, the show has attracted more than 24,820 visitors.
The show is produced by the American Gaming Association and Reed Exhibitions.
In a post-show survey, 82 percent of the attendees said that they were satisfied with the 2012 event, and 78 percent said they would likely return.
American Gaming Association President Frank Fahrenkopf Jr. said the growth in attendance offered an encouraging sign on the gaming industry’s health.
