Inside Asian Gaming (IAG) and Reed Exhibitions, organizer of G2E Asia, have announced that they will organize the inaugural official G2E Asia Awards during this year’s event.

To be held on the evening of Tuesday 15 May – the opening day of the 2018 G2E Asia trade show and exhibition – the inaugural G2E Asia Awards will recognize excellence and innovation within Asian gaming while celebrating the success and outstanding contributions of the gaming and non-gaming aspects of the entertainment industry in Asia. The prestigious formal dinner awards will also provide an unrivaled industry networking opportunity.

“We are absolutely delighted to be partnering and organizing the official G2E Asia Awards,” said Andrew W Scott, CEO of IAG, while announcing the awards at a G2E Asia press conference on Wednesday.

Scott added that “IAG’s relationship with G2E Asia has been consistently growing” in recent years with IAG also named G2E Asia’s Official Lead Media Partner this year for the first time.

In order to prepare for the 2018 G2E Asia Awards, IAG has analyzed awards from all over the world, both gaming and non-gaming, Scott said. “We took the elements that we thought were good and adapted them to Asia, so these awards have been carefully chosen to fully represent the Asian gaming industry.”

The inaugural official G2E Asia Awards will present a total of 12 awards:

1. BEST B2B DIGITAL PRODUCT SOLUTION
2. BEST CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY CONTRIBUTION
3. BEST LOTTERY SOLUTION
4. BEST INDUSTRY RISING STARS (Up to 5 winners)
5. BEST VIP GAMING PROMOTER
6. BEST B2B DIGITAL PLATFORM AND SOFTWARE SOLUTION
7. BEST ELECTRONIC GAMING SOLUTION (Slots and ETGs)
8. BEST INDUSTRY INNOVATION
9. BEST TABLE GAME SOLUTION

11. BEST INDUSTRY SUPPLIER
12. BEST INTEGRATED RESORT

The public nomination period for the awards kicks off today, Thursday 8 March 2018 – visit g2eAsiaAwards.com for further detailed information on the nomination process and the categories.

The inaugural G2E Asia Awards will be judged by a jury of peers with over 40 judges expected to take part in 2018 from a wide variety of industry sectors. Judges will be recused from voting in any categories they or their organizations are nominated for.

The 2018 edition of G2E Asia is expected to welcome around 15,000 visitors during the three days of the event from 15 to 17 May 2018, an increase of around 17% compared to the previous year, said Josephine Lee, COO of Reed Exhibitions during Wednesday’s press conference.

Lee added that G2E Asia 2018 will occupy 32% more space (37,000 square meters) and include 16% more exhibitors (220) than in 2017.

The technology segment will have a dedicated location during the event, with online game development and technology providers showcasing together under the Digital Content Technology category.

The show will include the traditional gaming industry segment zones, conferences, talks and networking sessions and also an Asia Lottery Expo and Forum.

Lee said that a mobile app will enhance the experience for attendees with features including a 3D map of the trade show and a business networking function.
