The Macau government collected a total of MOP$58.3 billion (US$7.21 billion) in gaming taxes for the first seven months of 2026 combined, representing a year-on-year increase of 9.3% according to latest data from the Financial Services Bureau.

The figure included an 11.8% year-on-year and 17.5% month-on-month decrease in gaming taxes in July to MOP$7.15 billion (US$885 million). The July tax revenue corresponds to Macau’s gross gaming revenue (GGR) for June. In June, GGR totaled MOP$18.5 billion (US$2.29 billion), a 12% decrease year-on-year.

The data also shows that total government revenue has reached MOP$67.9 billion (US$8.40 billion) so far in 2026, with gaming taxes accounting for 85.9% of the total.

The Macau government has set its budgeted gaming tax revenue for fiscal year 2026 at MOP$92.7 billion (US$11.5 billion), meaning that tax revenue in the first seven months of the year has so far reached 60.7% of the annual budget.
