South Korea’s Jeju Dream Tower booked one of its highest ever months for casino revenue in July, with revenue climbing 18.8% year-on-year and 5.8% quarter-on-quarter to KRW51.6 billion (US$36.1 million).
Only September 2025, when casino revenue reached KRW52.9 billion (US$37.0 million), achieved a higher result.
The impressive performance in July, which continues a long run of rapidly rising revenues stretching back to early 2024, included an all-time high in slot machine revenue of KRW2.69 billion (US$1.88 million) – up 44.1% year-on-year and 76.7% quarter-on-quarter. Table game revenue grew by 17.7% year-on-year and by 3.6% compared with June to KRW48.9 billion (US$34.2 million).
Hotel revenue also grew by 11.3% year-on-year and 9.4% sequentially to KRW8.78 billion (US$6.14 million).
Jeju Dream Tower appears to have run well in July however, with drop amount reported to have actually fallen by 9.9% year-on-year and 3.5% quarter-on-quarter to KRW216.8 billion (US$152 million).
For the first seven months of 2026 combined, the property has seen casino revenue jump 33.3% year-on-year to KRW317.3 billion (US$222 million) on a 13.1% improvement in drop amount to KRW1.43 trillion (US$1.0 billion).
South Korea is currently enjoying a tourism surge, having surpassed 10 million foreign visitor arrivals in 2026 in late June – a figure attributed to the continued weakness of the Korean won, favorable visa conditions and an increase in Chinese tourists choosing Korea as an alternative travel destination amidst deteriorating relations between China and Japan.
