Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands (MBS) has announced the appointment of Angelita Teo as its new Vice President of Attractions, tasked with leading the strategic direction and continued growth of the integrated resort’s portfolio of attractions, including ArtScience Museum.
The announcement comes a day after ArtScience Museum received the “Special Recognition” award at the Singapore Tourism Awards 2026 by the Singapore Tourism Board at a ceremony on Wednesday night. The top honor recognizes the Museum’s contributions to Singapore’s cultural and tourism landscape over the past 15 years and its continued commitment to broadening perspectives through world-class exhibitions, films and programs at the intersection of art, science, technology and culture, MBS explained.
Teo is described as a respected leader in the arts, culture and heritage sector, bringing over three decades of experience shaping and elevating cultural institutions in Singapore and on the global stage.
MBS said she returns home after seven years in Switzerland as Director of the Olympic Foundation for Culture and Heritage, where she led a multinational team across global cultural initiatives, heritage collections and museum operations.
Teo has a background in Singapore’s vibrant arts and heritage landscape – from deepening public engagement with museums and major festivals, to shaping how local works and narratives are curated and presented for international audiences, the company added.
On ArtScience Museum winning top honors at the Singapore Tourism Awards 2026, MBS Chief Operating Officer Paul Town said, “As an integrated resort, Marina Bay Sands is uniquely placed to showcase Singapore through world-class experiences that spark curiosity and connection. ArtScience Museum is central to this vision not just as an attraction, but as a cultural anchor that invites visitors to engage more deeply, intellectually, emotionally and creatively. We remain focused on presenting works that are globally relevant and locally resonant, while contributing to Singapore’s ongoing evolution as a leading arts and cultural destination.”
Opened in 2011, ArtScience Museum is home to landmark exhibitions that feature the works of global artists and thinkers, including the likes of Leonardo da Vinci, Salvador Dalí, Andy Warhol, Vincent van Gogh and M.C. Escher.
Its permanent exhibition, teamLab Future World, has attracted close to five million visitors since 2016, underscoring the museum’s ability to engage audiences through immersive and cutting-edge experiences, MBS said.
