Macau has once again topped the list of “Top Ten Destinations for Chinese Outbound Tourist Satisfaction,” securing the top spot as the favorite outbound destination for mainland Chinese tourists for the second consecutive year.
The China Tourism Academy announced on Tuesday that Macau had topped the 2025 list, reflecting the high recognition mainland tourists have for their travel experience in the SAR.
According to the rankings released by the China Tourism Academy, the “Top Ten Destinations for Chinese Outbound Tourist Satisfaction in 2025” are in order: Macau (China), New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong (China), Argentina, Spain, Singapore, Italy, France and the United Kingdom.
Macau received high praise in the categories of “Leisure & Entertainment” and “Attraction Accommodation.” Following its top ranking in 2024, Macau won consecutive titles and clinched the top spot again this year.
In response to the evaluation, the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) stated, “We are deeply encouraged by the positive feedback from mainland tourists. The overall satisfaction reflects the high recognition of Macau’s tourism offering and this achievement is the result of the joint efforts of all sectors of Macau society.”
In 2025, Macau received over 29 million mainland tourist arrivals, again representing Macau’s primary source of tourists. The MGTO stated that it will continue to collaborate with the industry to optimize various tourism services and facilities.
