The World Poker Tour (WPT) has announced its impending return to Cambodia in August with the WPT Cambodia Passport to the World Championship to take place at NagWorld.

Running from 12 to 24 August, the WPT Cambodia Passport to the World Championship will bring together players from around the region and around the globe for nearly two weeks of tournament action. It will feature a huge schedule of 70 events, including US$1 million in guaranteed prize pools. Satellites will be available for every guaranteed prize pool event on the schedule with additional opportunities to qualify for the season ending WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas.

The Main Event will feature a US$1,300 buy-in and a US$500,000 guaranteed prize pool.

“The WPT Cambodia Passport to the World Championship provides players with an incredible opportunity to compete while enjoying one of the region’s premier poker destinations,” said WPT CEO Adam Pliska. “In addition to an action-packed tournament schedule, we are thrilled to offer players a pathway to earn their way to the WPT World Championship.”

The WPT said the second half of its Season 24 schedule will include a stop at The Star Sydney for WPT Australia in September, while the WPT World Championship itself will take place in December at Wynn Las Vegas.
